Research Projects

Academy member Dr. Levent Aral is conducting research on the tax on children of martyrs (Evlâd-ı Şüheda Vergisi). He presented his first post on this subject at the seminar at FSM University in November 2022. In addition, his article on the subject was accepted in the Balkan Yearbook to be published in 2025. Turhan Tanyer and Mehmet Akan - Research on the History of Philately in Ankara (Starting from the Ottoman Empire)

Our members Turhan Tanyer and Mehmet Akan are conducting research on the history of philately in Ankara starting from the Ottoman Empire. They have given five different seminars on the subject in the past years. Tanyer has also published an article in the Academy Yearbook. Our members who have news, ephemera, advertisements, identity cards, photographs, philatelic posts, etc. related to this subject can scan them at 300 dpi. resolution and send them to Turhan Tanyer.
